The Chair laid out the proposed Committee Rules and Senator Carona moved adoption. Without objection, it was so ordered. The Chair recognized the following witness to testify on the status of the Texas Prison system, Texas Department of Criminal Justice: Brad Livingston, Interim Executive Director, Texas Department of Criminal Justice The Chair recognized the following witnesses to testify on the International Prison Transfer Treaty: Honorable Judith Slater, Counsel-General, HM Prison Service Graham Wilkinson, Head of Cross Border Transfers, HM Prison Service Calvin Brown, Manager - Inmate Administrator, Georgia Dept of Corrections Paula Wolff, Chief, International Prisoner Transfer Unit, US Department of Justice Kim Vernon, Director, State Counsel for Offenders Rissie Owens, Chair, Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles There being no further business, at 3:30 PM, Senator Whitmire moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the Chair.
