         11.18, an open meeting of the Senate Committee on Health & Human  
         Services was held on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, in the Senate  
         Chamber at Austin, Texas.

         The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.  There being  
         a quorum present, the following business was transacted:   
          
         The Chair gave welcoming remarks 
          
         The Chair laid out proposed committee rules to be adopted. 
          
         Senator Janek moved that the rules be adopted; without  
         objection, the rules were adopted. 
          
         There being no further business, at 9:15 a.m. the Chair moved  
         that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the  
         Chair; without objection, it was so ordered.
