Senator Shapleigh moved adoption of the minutes from the previous hearing held on April 18, 2006; without objection, it was so ordered. The committee heard opening remarks from several members from the Texas Department of Transportation, witness list is attached. The Chairman laid out the Committee's interim charge number 5. With no one else present and wishing to testify, the Chairman moved that the public testimony on the committee's interim charges 1, 4, 5 & 6 be closed; without objection, it was so ordered. There being no further business, at 3:58 p.m. Senator Carona moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.
