         Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule  
         11.18, a public hearing of the Standing Senate Subcommittee on  
         Base Realignment and Closure was held on Wednesday, May 4, 2005,  
         in the Senate Chamber at Austin, Texas.

         The chair called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.  The  
         following business was transacted:   
          
         Senator Shapleigh moved that the committee stand recessed until  
         4:00 p.m.; without objection, it was so ordered.   
          
         At 4:00 p.m. the committee reconvened.   
          
         There being no quorum present, at 4:00 p.m. Senator Shapleigh  
         moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of  
         the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
