The Committee will meet to hear INVITED TESTIMONY ONLY relating to child
protective services.

The Committee will not lay out individual bills and take testimony specific
to such bills.  Rather, the Committee will hear invited testimony that
will focus primarily on the following topics relating to children's
protective services:

Foster Care Issues and Outsourcing Issues

Invited testimony is anticipated from representatives of the
following agencies/organizations:

Health and Human Services Commission
Department of Family and Protective Services
Texas Association of Child Placing Agencies
Lutheran Social Services
Center for Public Policy Priorities
Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services
Caring Family Network
Texas Association for the Protection of Children


The order of presentation may change depending upon the availability of
witnesses.

Should the Chair determine necessary, testimony may be invited from
agencies/organizations other than those listed above.

TESTIMONY, A SUBSEQUENT HEARING DATE WILL BE RESERVED FOR PUBLIC TESTIMONY
ON PROTECTIVE SERVICES.
