The Senate Committee on Education will hold a hearing at 10:00 a.m.
on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.028.

The Committee will hear invited and public testimony on Charge #2, to
study and make recommendations on educational reforms necessary to focus
high schools and student performance on post-secondary readiness and
success.

The Committee will hear invited and public testimony on Charge #3, to
review the operation of the State Board of Education, including its
oversight of the Permanent School Fund, and make recommendations, if
necessary, for appropriate legislative oversight and review.
