The Committee will meet jointly with the Subcommittee on Base Realignment
and Closure and the House Defense Affairs and State-Federal Relations
Committee to discuss the 79th Legislature's efforts to support Texas
communities facing the potential impact of the 2005 round of base closure
and realignment.  The Committees will hear from the Texas Military
Preparedness Commission and defense-dependent communities around the state.
