The Subcommittee will meet jointly with the Senate Veteran Affairs and
and Military Installations Committee and the House Defense Affairs and
State-Federal Relations Committee to discuss the 79th Legislature's efforts
to support Texas communities face the potential impact of the
Department of Defense's 2005 base realignment and closure decisions.
The committees will hear from the Texas Military Preparedness Commission
and defense-dependent communities from around the State.
