Amend CSHB 1 as follows:                                                     
	(1) On page XI-53 of the bill pattern for the Comptroller's 
Judiciary Section add the following new rider:
	CONTINGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR HB 1554: Contingent on passage 
of HB 1554, or similar legislation relating to the creation of an 
additional judicial district in El Paso County, by the Eightieth 
Legislature, Regular Session, the Comptroller's Judiciary Section 
is appropriated $68,750 for fiscal year 2008 and $68,750 for fiscal 
year 2009 from the General Revenue Fund and $56,250 for fiscal year 
2008 and $56,250 for 2009 from Judicial Fund No. 573, and 1.0 
additional full-time equivalent position to implement the 
provisions of the legislation.
