Amend CSHB 1 in Article XI, TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL 
JUSTICE of the bill by adding the following new subsection:
	Contingency for HB 1888. Contingent upon passage of HB 1888, 
or similar legislation relating to the provision of pay telephone 
service to inmates confined in facilities operated by the Texas 
Department of Criminal Justice. In addition to the allocation of 
funds in HB 1888, from the funds credited to the undedicated portion 
of the general revenue fund, $8,000,000 for fiscal year 2009 is 
appropriated to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
