Overview                                                             
	The rider would add $250,000 in All Funds for the biennium to 
create a new district court in Wichita County. The new court would 
be created September 1, 2007. This action would result in an 
additional cost to the bill of $137,500 in General Revenue. 

Required Action                                                        
	On Page IV-36 of the bill pattern for the Comptroller's 
Judiciary Section, add the following new rider:
	____. Contingency Appropriation for HB 2486. Contingent on 
passage of HB 2486, or similar legislation relating to the creation 
of an additional judicial district in Wichita County, by the 
Eightieth Legislature, Regular Session, the Comptroller's 
Judiciary Section is appropriated $68,750 for fiscal year 2008 and 
$68,750 for fiscal year 2009 from the General Revenue Fund and 
$56,250 for fiscal year 2008 and $56,250 for fiscal year 2009 from 
Judicial Fund No. 573, and 1.0 additional full-time equivalent 
position to implement the provisions of the legislation.
