System updates will be applied on February 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM. These updates will include changes to the user interface. Work is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete, during which the site will be unavailable.

	Amend the proposed floor substitute to HB 8 (Amendment No. 7 
by Gattis) on page 22, lines 24 through 25, by striking "the actual 
time served equals 25 years, without consideration of good conduct 
time." and substituting the following:

"the actual time served, without consideration of good conduct 
time, equals one-half of the sentence imposed or 30 years, 
whichever is less.  If the defendant is sentenced to a term of less 
than 50 years, the defendant must serve at least 25 years before the 
defendant is eligible for parole."
