System updates will be applied on February 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM. These updates will include changes to the user interface. Work is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete, during which the site will be unavailable.

	Amend CSHB 14 as follows:                                                    

(1)  On page 6, line 20, strike "governor or the governor's" 	and substitute "attorney general or the attorney general's".
	(2)  On page 11, strike lines 9 through 13, and substitute 
the following:    
	Sec. 102.104 [102.006].  OFFICERS.  The oversight committee
[governor] shall select a [designate a member of the council, other 
than the ex officio member, as the] presiding officer from among its 
members [of the council to serve in that capacity at the pleasure of 
the governor].
