	Amend CSHB 937 as follows:                                                   
	(1)  On page 1, line 8, between "emergency vehicle," and 
"that is driven", insert "as defined by Section 541.201,".
	(2)  On page 1, line 17, between "emergency vehicle" and "is 
exempt", insert ",as defined by Section 541.201,".
	(3)  On page 2, line 1, strike "a police or emergency 
vehicle" and substitute "an authorized emergency vehicle, as 
defined by Section 541.201, [a police or emergency vehicle]".
	(4)  On page 2, line 4, strike "a police or" and substitute 
"an authorized".
	(5)  Insert the following appropriately numbered section to 
the bill and renumber subsequent sections of the bill accordingly:
	SECTION _____.  Section 541.201, Transportation Code, is 
amended by adding Subdivision (13-a) to read as follows:
		(13-a) "Police vehicle" means a vehicle of a 
governmental entity primarily used by a peace officer, as defined 
by Section 2.12, Code of Criminal Procedure, for law enforcement 
purposes.
