Amend HB 1290 on third reading after SECTION 1 of the bill by 
inserting the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill 
and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill appropriately:
	SECTION ____.  Section 254.042, Election Code, is amended by 
adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
	(d)  A person is not liable for a penalty under Subsection 
(b) if the person files the amended or corrected report before the 
person receives a notice under Subsection (a).
