Amend CSHB 1439 (committee printing) as follows:                             
	(1)  On page 2, line 25, strike "and".                                  
	(2)  On page 3, strike line 6 and substitute the following:                    

contract; and                                                          
			(D)  if the person is an employer, as soon as 
practicable but not later than the seventh day after the date the 
employer and the department or its agent enter into the contract, to 
notify each of its employees that the driver record of the employee 
will be monitored by the department under the contract, and permit 
each employee to elect whether to permit or not to permit the 
department to monitor that employee's driver record under the 
contract.
