Amend CSHB 1470 (House committee printing) as follows:                       

(1)  On page 1, line 22, between "conduct" and "the 	evaluation", insert "or contract with a third person to conduct".
	(2)  On page 1, line 24, between "the comptroller" and "any 
requested", insert "or third person".
	(3)  On page 2, at the end of line 26, add the following:                      

A third person contracted by the comptroller to conduct an economic 
impact evaluation of an application is not required to make a 
determination that the Texas Education Agency is required to make 
and report to the comptroller under this subsection.
