Amend CSHB 1471 as follows:                                                  

(1)  On page 1, strike lines 10-13 and substitute the 	following:             
	(b)  A local entity may designate by majority vote of its 
governing body an individual authorized to approve resource sharing 
agreements under this section.
	(c)  A local entity may share its resources with another 
local entity, regardless of the process required for sharing 
resources under an emergency management plan or program or local 
law, only if authorized by an individual designated under 
Subsection (b) for the sharing entity's governing body and:
	(2)  On page 1, line 18, strike "presiding officers" and 
substitute "individuals designated under Subsection (b) for the 
governing bodies".
