	Amend CSHB 1915 by adding the following SECTIONS to the bill, 
appropriately numbered, and renumbering the SECTIONS of the bill 
accordingly:
	SECTION ____.  Section 2007.002, Insurance Code, is amended 
to read as follows:
	Sec. 2007.002.  ASSESSMENT.  The comptroller shall assess 
against all insurers to which this chapter applies a combined total 
of $30 [$15] million for each 12-month period.
	SECTION ____.  Section 2007.009, Insurance Code, is repealed.                  
	SECTION ____.  Section 2007.002, Insurance Code, as amended 
by this Act, does not apply to an assessment under Section 2007.004, 
Insurance Code, that is made by the comptroller on or before 
September 1, 2007.
