Amend HB 2244 by inserting a new subsection (c) to read as 
follows:        
	(c) Nothing in this section shall prohibit the commission 
from adopting a standard for the ratio of correctional officers to 
prisoners that is most appropriate for the design and operation of a 
specific jail or type of jail.
