Amend HB 2498 (Senate committee printing) as follows:                        
	(1)  In SECTION 1 of the bill, strike amended Subsection (a), 
Section 659.305, Government Code (page 1, lines 15-20), and 
substitute the following:
	(a)  Except as provided by Subsections [Subsection] (b) and 
(h), the amount of a full-time state employee's hazardous duty pay 
for a particular month is [the lesser of:
		[(1)]  $10 for each 12-month period of lifetime service 
credit accrued by the employee[; or
		[(2)  $300].                                                 
	(2)  In SECTION 1 of the bill, in amended Subsection (d), 
Section 659.305, Government Code (page 1, line 21), strike "(a)(1), 
[and]" and substitute "(a), [(a)(1) and]".
	(3)  Add the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the 
bill and renumber subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:
	SECTION ____.  Section 659.305(c), Government Code, is 
repealed.
