Amend HB 2560 (second reading engrossment) as follows:                       
	(1)  On page 1, line 18, following "payee;", insert "and".       
	(2)  On page 1, strike lines 19 and 20 and substitute the 
following:         
		(3)  either:                                                           
			(A)  a statement of the purpose of the expenditure 
for which the check was written; or
			(B)  identification of the purpose of the 
expenditure, using the function code assigned to the expenditure 
for purposes of meeting state reporting requirements.
	(3)  On page 1, strike lines 21 and 22.                                        
	(4)  On page 2, line 5, strike "(a)(1) through (4)" and 
substitute "(a)(1) through (3)".
	(5)  On page 2, between lines 6 and 7, insert the following:                   
	(a-2) If the school district complies with Subsection (a)(3) 
in the manner provided by Subsection (a)(3)(B), the district shall 
post on the district's Internet website:
		(1)  a description of each function code used for state 
reporting requirements; or
		(2)  a link to a page on the agency's Internet website 
that describes each function code used for state reporting 
requirements.
	(6)  On page 2, strike lines 14-20.                                            
	(7)  On page 3, line 22, strike "date of the transaction" and 
substitute "month and year of the transaction".
	(8)  On page 4, line 3, between "card is issued," and "and the 
expiration", insert "the day of the month on which each transaction 
shown was made,".
	(9)  On page 4, lines 20 and 21, strike "the first 
instructional day of each school year" and substitute "the date the 
district submits the information to the agency under the Public 
Education Information Management System (PEIMS)".
	(10)  On page 6, between lines 8 and 9, insert the following:                  
	(c)  A school district should maintain minimum fund balances 
equal to at least two months but not more than three months of the 
district's operating budget.
