Amend CSHB 2683 (Senate committee printing) as follows:                      
	(1)  In SECTION 1 of the bill, in added Section 31.018, Human 
Resources Code (page 1, line 42), between "FUNDING." and "To", 
insert "(a)".
	(2)  In SECTION 1 of the bill, immediately following added 
Section 31.018, Human Resources Code (page 1, between lines 50 and 
51), insert the following:
	(b)  Using not more than 10 percent of the money required to 
be spent as provided by Subsection (a), the Health and Human 
Services Commission, through a contract or agreement with a public 
senior college or university, as defined by Section 61.003, 
Education Code, shall establish a process for evaluating the best 
practices and outcomes of programs funded under Subsection (a).
