	Amend CSSB 9 by adding a new Section 22.0837, Education Code, 
to read as follows:
	Section 22.0837. EXEMPTION FROM APPLICATION. Sections 22.083 
through 22.0836 do not apply to school districts, charter schools, 
and shared services arrangements that are contracted with consumer 
reporting agencies governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 
U.S.C. 1681 et. Seq.) to provide in-state and out-of-state 
background checks in every county, nationwide, identifiable, as a 
county of current or prior residence.
