Amend CSSB 10 (Senate committee printing) by adding the 
following appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and 
renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:
	SECTION _____.  (a)  Section 32.024, Human Resources Code, 
is amended by adding Subsection (ii) to read as follows:
	(ii)  In determining the family income, assets, and 
resources of a pregnant minor or the child of a minor for purposes 
of determining the eligibility of the pregnant minor or the child 
for medical assistance, the department shall include the income, 
assets, and resources of the minor's parent or parents if the minor 
and the minor's child, if applicable, reside with the minor's parent 
or parents.  For purposes of this subsection, "minor" means a person 
who is under 18 years of age.
	(b)  Section 32.024(ii), Human Resources Code, as added by 
this section, applies only to a determination of eligibility of a 
person for medical assistance under Chapter 32, Human Resources 
Code, made on or after the effective date of this section.  A 
determination of eligibility made before the effective date of this 
section is governed by the law in effect on the date the 
determination was made, and the former law is continued in effect 
for that purpose.
