System updates will be applied on February 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM. These updates will include changes to the user interface. Work is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete, during which the site will be unavailable.

	Amend SB 11 on third reading in the SECTION of the bill that 
amends Section 418.108, Government Code, by adding the following 
subsection to Section 418.108, Government Code:
	(j)  A member of the senate or house of representatives may 
petition the governor to declare a local state of disaster.  The 
governor must act on a petition received from a member under this 
subsection not later than the 10th day after the date the governor 
receives the petition.  A declaration of local disaster under this 
subsection activates the recovery and rehabilitation aspects of all 
applicable local or interjurisdictional emergency management plans 
and authorizes the furnishing of aid and assistance under the 
declaration in accordance with this section.
