System updates will be applied on February 19, 2026 at 6:00 PM. These updates will include changes to the user interface. Work is expected to take approximately 30 minutes to complete, during which the site will be unavailable.

	Amend SB 156 (House Committee Printing) as follows:                          

(1)  In SECTION 1 of the bill, in proposed Section 531.458, 	Government Code (page 5, line 27), between "shall" and "contract" 
insert "hire or".
	(2)  In SECTION 2(b) of the bill (page 8, line 6), strike 
"December 1, 2007" and substitute "September 1, 2008".
	(3)  In SECTION 2 of the bill (page 8, between lines 9 and 10) 
insert the following:
	(c)  Not later than December 1, 2008, the Health and Human 
Services Commission shall submit a report to the Senate Health and 
Human Services Committee, or its successor, and the House Human 
Services Committee, or its successor, regarding the implementation 
and status of the nurse-family partnership competitive grant 
program required by Subchapter M, Chapter 531, Government Code, as 
added by this Act.
	(4)  In SECTION 2(c) of the bill (page 8, line 10), strike:                    
	"(c)  Not later than December 1, 2008" and substitute 
"(d)  Not later than December 1, 2009".
