Amend SB 228 in SECTION 6 of the bill on page 3 (committee 
printing), amending Section 156.409, Family Code, as follows:
	On lines 3 and 4 strike ", including a conservator or 
governmental entity," and substitute "for at least six months";
	On line 11 strike "to another person for at least six months";                 
	On line 13 strike "30" and substitute "90";                                    
	On line 25 after the period insert subsection "(a-2)" to read 
as follows:    
	"(a-2)  This section does not affect the ability of the court 
to render a temporary order for the payment of child support that is 
in the best interest of the child."
