	Amend SB 763 (House committee printing) by adding the 
following appropriately numbered SECTION (page 2, between lines 6 
and 7) and renumbering the subsequent SECTIONS accordingly:
	SECTION ____.  Chapter 30, Civil Practice and Remedies Code, 
is amended by adding Section 30.013 to read as follows:
	Sec. 30.013.  NONDISCLOSURE OF CERTAIN INFORMATION.  (a) The 
supreme court shall adopt rules prohibiting a court or the clerk of 
a court from requiring a party in a civil action to disclose a 
social security number or driver's license number or any part of a 
social security number or driver's license number in the records or 
pleadings of the court unless the party consents to the disclosure 
in any document, including a document filed as provided by Title 2 
of this code or Chapter 52, Property Code.
	(b)  This section expires August 31, 2009.
