	Amend SB 909 on third reading by adding an appropriately 
numbered SECTION to the bill to read as follows and renumbering 
subsequent SECTIONS of the book accordingly:
	SECTION ____. Chapter 493, Government Code, is amended by 
adding Section 493.0022 to read as follows:
	Sec. 493.0022. CHAPLAINCY DIVISION. (a) The chaplaincy 
division is a division within the department. The division shall 
provide chaplaincy and other spiritual services to inmates confined 
in the department and shall perform other tasks assigned by the 
board.
	(b) The board shall employ a person as the director of the 
chaplaincy division. The director of the chaplaincy division 
reports directly to the board.
