	Amend SB 1031 on third reading by adding the following new 
SECTION, appropriately numbered, and renumbering the subsequent 
SECTIONS accordingly:
	SECTION ____.  Section 39.024, Education Code, is amended by 
adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows:
	(c-1)  A school district shall offer courses or tutoring to 
each student who fails to achieve the college readiness standard 
established under Section 39.0233(c) to help the student achieve 
that standard.
