Amend SB 1562 (house committee printing) as follows:                         
	(1)  In SECTION 1 of the bill in added Subsection (a), 
Section 829.003, Health and Safety Code (page 2, line 8) between 
"courses." and "The" insert "The department shall ensure that the 
basic and continuing education courses are made available to be 
completed on the department's internet website."
	(2)  Add the following appropriately numbered SECTION to the 
bill and renumber subsequent SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:
	SECTION ____.  Notwithstanding Section 829.002, Health and 
Safety Code, as added by this Act, a person is not required to 
complete animal control officer training until the training is 
available to be completed online in accordance with Section 
829.003, Health and Safety Code, as added by this Act.
