	Amend CSSB 1693 in SECTION 1 of the bill, add the following to 
proposed Section 672.051, Business & Commerce Code (House committee 
printing, page 1, between lines 24 and 25):
	(c)  The contiguous area may include property located in a 
county adjacent to an international border with a population of 
more than 500,000 only if the inclusion of the property in the 
contiguous area is approved at an election called and held for that 
purpose in the county.
