Amend SB 1731 by adding the following SECTION to the bill, 
appropriately numbered, and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS of the 
bill accordingly:
	SECTION ____. Section 1506.007, Insurance Code, is amended by 
adding Subsections (a-1) and (a-2) to read as follows:
	(a-1) A health benefit plan issuer, employer, or other person 
who is required to provide notice to an individual of the 
individual's ability to continue coverage in accordance with Title 
X, Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (29 
U.S.C. Section 1161 et seq.) (COBRA), shall, at the time that notice 
is required, also provide notice to the individual of the 
availability of coverage under the pool.
	(a-2) A health benefit plan issuer who is providing coverage 
to an individual in accordance with Title X, Consolidated Omnibus 
Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (29 U.S.C. Section 1161 et seq.) 
(COBRA), shall, not later than the 45th day before the date that 
coverage expires, notify the individual of the availability of 
coverage under the pool.
