BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

 

It is in the interests of the 46th judicial district for its district attorney to become subject to the professional prosecutors law, and this bill is intended to have such effect. 

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution. 

 

ANALYSIS

 

The bill amends the Government Code to add the district attorney for the 46th judicial district to the list of district attorneys subject to Chapter 46 of the Government Code, also known as the professional prosecutors law.
