BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE
The Commissioners Court of Montgomery County has determined that it is in the best interests of the county to create an additional county court at law. The purpose of this bill is to create such court.
RULEMAKING AUTHORITY
It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution.
ANALYSIS
The bill would amend the Government Code to create County Court at Law No. 5 of Montgomery County.
EFFECTIVE DATE
September 1, 2007.
