BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

 

Members of the Guardianship Certification Board are not currently entitled to reimbursement of expenses. The purpose of the bill is to permit the members to obtain reimbursement of travel and other expenses.

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution. 

 

ANALYSIS

 

The bill would permit members of the Guardianship Certification Board to obtain, and instruct the Office of Court Administration to reimburse, travel and other actual and necessary expenses of board members incurred in the performance of official duties, as provided by the General Appropriations Act.

 

EFFECTIVE DATE

 

September 1, 2007.
