AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
Under current law, the occupational regulation of water treatment specialists and their job duties, such as water softener or water treatment installation, is provided in both the Health and Safety Code and the Occupations Code.
H.B. 3017 transfers Health and Safety Code provisions relating to water treatment specialists to the Occupations Code and redesignates the provisions as Chapter 1904, Occupations Code.

Sec. 1904.052. CERTIFICATION REQUIRED. Redesignated from existing Section 341.103, Health and Safety Code. Makes a conforming change.
Sec. 1904.053. APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATION. Redesignated from existing Section 341.104, Health and Safety Code. Makes a conforming change.
Sec. 1904.054. ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE. Redesignated from existing Sections 341.105(a) and (b), Health and Safety Code.
