AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

 

Currently, the salaries of the members of the juvenile board of Parker County are limited to $6,000 a year. 

 

H.B. 3993 requires that the commissioners court of Parker County pay the juvenile board members an annual salary of not less than, rather than not more than, $6,000, payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund or from other available funds in Parker County. 

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.

 

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1.  Amends Section 152.1901(c), Human Resources Code, to require the commissioners court of Parker County to pay the juvenile board members an annual salary of not less than $6,000, rather than not more than that amount, payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund or any other available fund of Parker County. 

 

SECTION 2.  Effective date: October 1, 2007.
