BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

 

The Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District was created to protect the water supply for the residents of Bastrop and Lee Counties.  HB 4064 will repeal the two-term limit on the office of director for the Groundwater District.

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution. 

 

ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1   

Section 7(g), Chapter 1323, Acts of the 77th Legislature, Regular Session, 2001, is repealed.

EFFECTIVE DATE:  September 1, 2007.
