BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

 

H.B. 4071 will  provide the Las Lomas Municipal Utility District No. 4 of Kaufman County the authority to undertake road projects both inside and outside the district.

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution. 

 

ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1. Amends Section 8138.102(a), Special District Local Laws Code, to delete existing text requiring turnpike projects of the Las Lomas Municipal Utility District No. 4 and delete text requiring roads to be located inside the district.

 

SECTION 2. Upon passage, or, if the Act does not receive the necessary vote, the Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
