AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
Crimes committed against public servants carry an enhanced penalty under current law. However, the law is unclear regarding whether public school teachers are classified as public servants.
C.S.S.B. 109 adds certain public and private school teachers to the list of persons against whom certain offenses carry enhanced penalties.
