Committee Report (Substituted)
AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
The 78th Legislature created the Downtown Midland Management District (district) as a special district. Since its creation the district has purchased several properties and has begun the process of demolishing buildings in the downtown Midland area. Current law leaves the district open to liability. As a result, the district requires the validation of certain acts, including the purchase and sale of certain property.
C.S.S.B. 524 validates certain actions and proceedings of the Downtown Midland Management District, excepting certain matters under litigation.
