AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

 

S.B. 1976 amends a technical error in the statute governing membership of the McLennan County Juvenile Board that requires the county to pay county court of law judges a supplement for serving on the board, but fails to include these judges as board members.

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.

 

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1.  Amends Section 152.1611(a), Human Resources Code, to provide that the McLennan County Juvenile Board is composed of the county judge, the district judges in McLennan County, and the judge of each county court at law.

 

SECTION 2.  Effective date: September 1, 2007.
