BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

 

S.B. 1981 eliminates the limit on the number of terms that a member of the board of directors of the Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District in Bastrop and Lee counties may serve.

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution. 

 

ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1.  Repealer:  Section 7(g) (regarding terms allowed to serve by the directors of the board of directors of the Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District in Bastrop and Lee counties), Chapter 1323, Acts of the 77th Legislature Regular Session, 2001.

 

SECTION 2.  Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2007.

 

EFFECTIVE DATE

 

Upon passage, or, if the Act does not receive the necessary vote, the Act takes effect September 1, 2007.
