AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

As proposed, S.B. 1994 authorizes the Las Lomas Municipal Utility District No. 4 of Kaufman County to undertake road projects inside and outside of the district.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

SECTION 1. Amends Section 8138.102(a), Special District Local Laws Code, to delete existing text requiring certain road or turnpike projects of the Las Lomas Municipal Utility District No. 4 to be located inside the district.

SECTION 2. Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2007.
