A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the online posting of expenditures by state agencies. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 2054.126, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: |
|
|
(f) Each state agency that maintains a generally accessible |
|
|
Internet site or for which a generally accessible Internet site is |
|
|
maintained shall post on the site all expenditures made by the |
|
|
agency. The posting must include the purpose for which each |
|
|
expenditure is made. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 2054.126(f), Government Code, as added |
|
|
by this Act, applies only to expenditures made on or after the |
|
|
effective date of this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
