A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|

|
relating to the selection of a presiding officer on the |
|
|
appointments panel of certain metropolitan rapid transit |
|
|
authorities. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 451.503(a), Transportation Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) The members [mayor of the most populous municipality
|
|
|
represented] on a panel under Section 451.502 shall select one |
|
|
member to serve [serves] as the presiding officer of the panel. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
