A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the acceptance at a solid waste facility of municipal |
|
|
solid waste transported by vehicle. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 361, Health and Safety |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 361.0131 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 361.0131. ACCEPTANCE OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE. As a |
|
|
condition for acceptance of a load of municipal solid waste for |
|
|
disposal, a solid waste facility may not require a load that is |
|
|
being transported in a manner that complies with Section |
|
|
725.021(c), Transportation Code, to be covered and the covering |
|
|
firmly secured at the front and back. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
