A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to extending the pilot program providing for reduced |
|
|
undergraduate tuition during a summer term or session at Texas A&M |
|
|
University. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Sections 54.0516(d) and (e), Education Code, are |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) This section applies only if the legislature |
|
|
specifically appropriates money to Texas A&M University for the |
|
|
state fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2009 [2007], to cover the |
|
|
tuition revenue lost to the institution by the application of this |
|
|
section. |
|
|
(e) This section applies only to a summer term or session in |
|
|
2008 [2006 or 2007]. This section expires January 1, 2009 [2008]. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
